Pengertian dan Defenisi XBee

Pada postingan kali saya akan membahas tentang modul Wifi XBee yaitu, salah satu wireless sensor network yang telah dibahas pada postingan sebelumnya. Sebelum membahas lebih lanjut tentang XBee, sebaiknya membaca penjelasan tentang WSN terlebih dahulu, singkatnya WSN merupakan sebuah  jaringan wireless  yang dilengkapi satu atau lebih sensor untuk mengumpulkan informasi. Jadi Xbee merupakan salah satu wireless yang digunakan untuk membangun suatu jaringan wireless sensor network.

Jadi pengertian Xbee merupakan sebuah modul wifi yang dibuat oleh Digi dengan menggunakan standart IEEE 892.15.4-2003 untuk komunkasi point to point dan topologi star dengan baud rate sebesar 250 kbit/s.

Radio XBee  digunakan dengan daya (3,3 V), ground, data in dan data out (UART), dengan fitur yang direkomendasikan lainnya seperti Reset and Sleep. Selain itu, sebagian besar keluarga XBee memiliki beberapa kontrol arus, input / output (I / O), konverter analog-ke-digital (A / D) dan garis indikator yang terpasang.  Programmable XBee memiliki prosesor pada on-board tambahan yang  dapat diprogram oleh pengguna.
